COMPONENT 3: EU EXCHANGE 4 GRANT SCHEME

The overall objective of the EU EXCHANGE 4 grant scheme is to support the implementation of priority national policies in identified priority areas at the local level.

 

The specific objective of this call is to contribute to the achievement of strategic national priorities in the field of environment, local economic development and social welfare at the local level.

 

To contribute to the general and specific objectives of this call, supported projects should fall into one of the following priorities:

 

  • Priority 1 - Environment: Improvement of solid waste management at local level.
  • Priority 2 - Local Economic Development: Raising of competitiveness of local economy through improving property management and facilitating business cooperation.
  • Priority 3 - Social Welfare: Introduction and improvement of social protection services for elderly population at local level.

 

FINANCIAL RESOURCES

The total budget of the grant scheme is 4,500.000 euros divided into two lots. Lot 1, with the budget of 3.920.000 euro is intended for all local authorities: towns, municipalities, and city municipalities targeting priorities 1, 2 and 3.  Lot 2, with the budget of 580,000 euro is intended for towns, municipalities, and city municipalities from Pčinja and Jablanica districts, targeting priorities 1 and 2. The minimum grant amount is 100,000 euros and the maximum grant amount is 200,000 euros.

 

COOPERATION

The project applicant was required to submit a project proposal in collaboration with another co-applicant that had to be a local self-government from the same or neighbouring districts/areas of the Republic of Serbia. Beside the obligatory co-applicant, other co-applicants could also be registered CSOs in Serbia and the European Union, regional development agencies registered in Serbia, agricultural cooperatives established in Serbia, institutions and organizations funded (fully or partially) by the Republic of Serbia, or local self-governments' budgets, and local self-governments (municipalities, towns and city municipalities) from member countries of the European Union.

 

DURATION

The planned duration of an action may not be lower than 10 months nor exceed 12 months.
