Waste Management

Serbia on its path towards European Union and to the achievement of modern cultural heritage has to solve the problem of waste, in accordance with EU standards. In solving these problems local governments are the bearers of responsibility for the problem of waste in their communities, so they must be able to prepare realistic and applicable projects to assess the necessary funds, planned by the necessary action to resolve problems and use the opportunity to obtain grants and donations from foreign and domestic institutions.

 

Topics to be covered in the training are: basic principles of waste management in countries in transition; the basic elements of designing and monitoring of landfills; MFA (material flow analysis); energy from waste; model of identification of the wild dumps, the methodology of determining the composition and quantity of waste.



The target group for training are representatives of local governments working on waste management positions.
