Within the support to the development of municipal infrastructure, the SCTM manages and improves SLAP Information System of local governments’ projects.
SLAP 2.0 Web information System was set up last autumn and is currently being used by 110 local self-government units (143 of them appointed their SLAP coordinators). They entered into the system information on 543 projects with the amount of over one billion eight hundred million euros.
Information on project documentation of municipal infrastructure projects in SLAP system are being used my more donor programs:
The system is already in use by the Eco Fund, and there is interest by the team engaged in the Danube Development Strategy.
In June 2010 the SLAP Office in the SCTM was formed. The Office consists of the SLAP engineer - for the support to the development of municipal infrastructure projects, SLAP IT specialist - for software updates and SLAP manager - for coordinating all activities related to the SLAP System.
The main objective of the Office is to provide regular assistance to municipalities to complete the project documentation, and together identify the needs for additional training or other expert assistance to local offices for municipal development.
Presently 130 towns and municipalities have their SLAP coordinators, out of whom 114 have entered 591 projects into the SLAP system so far. We invite the units of local government that have until now not done so, to appoint their SLAP coordinators.
